Man Sells His Half-Million Dollar Comics Collection to Go Travelling
One thing about having a large comic book collection is that it can impede your ability to move house. As I am discovering right now. Well, Martin Morris is taking that a little further, he is selling his 36,000 strong collection worth (he reckons) close to half a million dollars, in order to go travelling. That should get you quite a way.
Morris, 63 years old from from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, started his collection when he was aged five and his most valuable comic is Amazing Fantasy #15, the first appearance of Spider-Man. He made this decision after having a heart attack.
Looking at the prospect of heaving around my own long boxes, I can sympathise.
So… anyone else out there in and around the South-West London area want to buy a large comics collection in bulk? Either that or I am going to have to go buy another shed…
