Annihilation Scourge Alpha #1 is in stores from Marvel Comics next week, as Matty Rosenberg is dutifully rewarded for writing a lame-duck Uncanny X-Men run that Hickman was already planning to undo before he started it by getting to kick off the latest super-mega-crossover event. Art here by Juanan Ramirez and Cian Tormey, colors by Federico Blee, and letters by Cory Petit. We've got a preview below.

We kick things off in Blastaar's territory, as something has slaughtered a bunch of dirt farmers.

Blastaar blames it on Annihilus because he's racist against bug-people.

But we learn, in Annihilus's territory, the same thing is happening. And Annie's troops aren't faring much better.

Though Annihilus himself… well, he's got 99 problems, but a squid ain't one.

He also has little tolerance for failure.

Annihilation Scourge Alpha hits stores on Wednesday.
