"The October Faction": Times Change, But The Hunt Never Ends [OFFICIAL TRAILER]
Series creator-showrunner-executive producer Damian Kindler's (Sleepy Hollow, Krypton) adaptation of Steve Niles (30 Days of Night) and Damien Worm's comic book series The October Faction is ready to stake its claim on the streaming landscape when it stalks Netflix's nights (and days) beginning Thursday, January 23.
With two weeks to go before its debut, the streamer is offering viewers their first official trailer for the 10-episode series – directed by Kindler, Director X (Superfly, Mister Tachyon, Across the Line), Megan Follows (Reign, Anne of Green Gables), Mina Shum (Meditation Park, Ninth Floor), and David Frazee (Vikings, Orphan Black).
Building on the success of the IDW comic book series written by Steve Niles, October Faction follows globetrotting monster hunters Fred and Deloris Allen who, after the death of Fred's father, return to their hometown in upstate New York with their teenage children Geoff and Viv. As the family adjusts, Fred and Deloris must hide their identities as members of a secret organization, and our heroes quickly discover that their new small-town setting isn't as idyllic as it seems.
The October Faction stars Tamara Taylor (Bones, Altered Carbon, Lost, Justice League: Gods and Monsters) as Deloris Allen, J.C. Mackenzie (Molly's Game, The Wolf of Wall Street) as Fred Allen, Aurora Burghart (Sex Education) as Viv Allen, Gabriel Darku (Impulse, ReBoot: The Guardian Code, American Gods) as Geoff Allen, and Maxim Roy (Shadowhunters) as Alice Harlow. The series also stars Wendy Crewson (The Vow, Room), Megan Follows (Reign, Anne of Green Gables), and Stephen McHattie (Watchmen, Maurice Richard).
The October Faction is executive produced by Niles, James Thorpe, Thomas Walden, and Eric Birnberg; with George Strayton (Mech-X4, Xena: Warrior Princess) and Melissa Blake (Sleepy Hollow, Heroes) serving as co-executive producers. John Calvert (X Company, Anne with an E) and Mohamad El Masri (Here and Now) produce, with High Park Entertainment and IDW Entertainment serving as producing houses. IDW Entertainment is the worldwide distributor for the series – excluding Canada.
