"Disintegration" Is Getting A Technical Beta Next Week
Private Division and V1 Interactive have announced that there will be a technical beta taking place next week for their upcoming title Disintegration. If you're not familiar with the game, this is the new first-person shooter from Halo co-creator Marcus Lehto's studio V1. We had a chance to play a little of the game at PAX West 2019 and it was really cool for the short sparring match we had in multiplayer. The tech beta is being planned for both Tuesday and Wednesday next week, January 28th and 29th, running from 8am-11:59pm PT. After that, there will be an Open beta that will run from January 31st through February 1st. We have some details below of what's in the beta as well as a trailer for it. If you want to sign up to try it out, you can do so on the Disintegration website.
The open beta will follow shortly after starting on January 31st and running through February 1st, also on PS4, Xbox One and PC via Steam. Both betas will allow players to test two of the three frenetic multiplayer game modes that will be available in the full game at launch.
In Retrieval, the first game mode, players compete in two intense rounds in which one team attempts to deliver a payload which can only be carried by their ground crew while the other team defends. In the second game mode, Zone Control, two teams vie for domination over various capture points. Players must ensure their ground crew are alive and within the zone as this is the only way to accrue score to win the match.
Players will be able to play with seven of the final game's unique crews in the beta, such as the damage-boosting Tech Noir or the nuke-launching Warhedz. The purpose of the betas is to ensure stability and collect feedback ahead of when the game launches later this year.
