American Horror Story: Apocalypse 'Could It Be…Satan?'/'Boy Wonder' Review: What We Were Waiting For
Welcome back to Bleeding Cool's weekly review of FX's American Horror Story: Apocalypse, where this week we're doing double-duty on Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's popular horror anthology series by reviewing episode 4 'Could It Be…Satan?' and episode 5 'Boy Wonder' as a special "double feature."
After getting Queenie (Gabourey Sidibe) out of the Hotel Cortez alive (Hotel alert!) and Madison (Emma Roberts) out of her own personal retail hell, Michael Langdon (Cody Fern) proved himself worthy of the fast-track to becoming the first male Supreme – or "Alpha." Big problem: Supreme Cordelia Goode (Sarah Paulson) realizes Langdon's power comes from something ancient and truly evil – more than even the combined powers of the witches and warlocks can contain. To learn his true potential and to have time to formulate a plan, Cordelia will administer The Test of The Seven Wonders – but even with the help from some very unexpected places, have they already lost the battle before it's ever begun?
SPOILER WARNINGS: I'll be covering some themes and takeaways involving major and minor plot points from the episode, so just keep that in mind. Definitely not looking for pitchforks and torches outside my apartment.
