Aaron Haaland writes;
Hey Fandom! I'm back doing A Comic Show with New Comics Now! This week we got some more Forever Evil and Infinity tie-ins, the fate of Spider-man 2099, and a few creator owned gems.
Justice League of America #8 had glimpses and clues as to what happened to the team at the end of Trinity War. Martian Manhunter and Stargirl survived, and are ready to take on the Crime Syndicate again…maybe. There are no answers here so there really isn't much to spoil, there's just clue to assemble. Forever Evil Rogues Rebellion rocked, I've always loved these guys especially after all the care Geoff Johns put into them. It's a rebellion because they are taking on the Secret Society and the Syndicate. So now we have the Suicide Squad, Lex, Bizarro, the Rogues, Black Manta, and a few others all rising up against the Syndicate. I'm ready for it to go down. Green Lantern New Guardians continued the Lights Out crossover and set Kyle up for his role to play. Next week is Guy Gardner!
Superior Spider-man wrapped up the 2099 arc nicely, with new status quo's all around and some big progress on the outing Otto subplot. As much as I'm enjoying Ock as Spidey, I think I'm really going to dig his Walter White like fall. His arrogance will be his undoing. Without giving details, 2099 fans will definitely be happy with all this. Infinity had some great tie-ins by Hickman, read Avengers #21 before New Avengers. And Hawkeye's back like it never left. I forgot how much I loved and missed this book.
In creator owned highlights, Zero #2 is here with Ales Kot teamed with Tradd Moore. I gush over this title and issue. Really, I do. Check it out. Letter 44 is Charles Soule's new long form indy book published by Oni, and the first issue is just a buck! That means it's free at my place! I'm a Soule fan, now so can you for just a dollar!
