A New Series Of James Patterson's Max Ride From Marvel – And A New Creative Team

maxride_ultimateflight-watermarkedMarvel PR have given The Mary Sue the news that they are to follow up their first comic book series Max Ride: First Flight based on James Patterson's Maximum Ride. Expect a lot of this in the lead up to next week's full solicitation announcements for November.

However, none of the original creative or editorial team are returning to the second book Max Ride: Ultimate Flight based on the book School's Out Forever.

Replacing editor Sana Amanat is Emily Shaw.

Replacing writer Marguerite Bennett is Jody Houser.

Replacing artist Alex Sanchez is RB Silva.

Though they state that Amanat is still consulting. They also point out that the comics are different to the books in that the characters are older and the story has diverged.

For a closer adaptation, Yen Press are continuing to publish a manga adaptation.
