Al Ewing Continues To Bite The Hoof That Feeds Him With Venom Horse

In tomorrow's Venom War #2, Al Ewing and Carlos Nieto have Venom Horse stop quoting Jean Baudrillard, in favour of Scott McCloud.

Spoilers Spoilers Spoilers… in Venom War #1, Al Ewing and Carlos Nieto created a one-page adaptation of the character seen in the Venom 3 trailer, Venom Horse. And was taken with the seriousness that such an assignment needed, by referencing Simulacra et Simulation by Jean Baudrillard and the relationships between reality, symbols, and society, with how culture and media construct an understanding of shared existence, and how copies or copies dilute any essence of quality. And how this tied into the existence of Venom Horse in a Marvel comic book.

In tomorrow's Venom War #2, they go further into biting the hoof that feeds them. Just as Al Ewing has been doing in Immortal Thor, having Marvel Comics be bought by Roxxon. But quoting someone a little closer to most comic book readers' habits than Jean Baudrillard, Scott McCloud and his magnum opus, Understanding Comics. And chapter seven, the six essential steps of creation.
