When Comics Predict The Very-Near Future

WARNING: This post may contain disturbing irony.

So CLiNT Magazine came through the post this week, featuring the most recent chapters of Hit Girl and The Secret Service published by Marvel earlier in the month, as well as Death Note and a big article on the new line from its publisher Titan Comics.

Comics have had a habit of eerily predicting the very near future, with ironic juxtapositions for the death of Princess Diana and the events of 9/11, both published around the time of the events. This might be another to add to the list.

Now, there are spoilers for those not up to date with The Secret Service… we have an individual taking a gun…

Shooting through the door into the head, killing their target…

Did give me a bit of double take when reading it this week.
