Batman Eternal #1 Top Of The Bleeding Cool Bestseller List For 13/4/14. Just.

Batman_Eternal_Vol_1-1_Cover-1_TeaserThis is the Top Ten Bleeding Cool Bestseller List, as compiled by a number of comic stores from their sales on Wednesday and Thursday. It measures what are known as the "Wednesday Warriors", those who can't wait to the weekend to get this week's comics. We salute you, and the keenness you bring to your passion.

Almost every store reports Batman Eternal as their top seller of the week, with Walking Dead a close second. And do note that East Of West is creeping up that chart ans outselling comics that otherwise it might otherwise not have expected to. It's the new blockbuster from Image that keeps on delivering, month after month after month.

  1. Batman Eternal #1
  2. All New X-Men #25
  3. Walking Dead #125
  4. Iron Fist Living Weapon #1
  5. Superman Wonder Woman #7
  6. Deadpool #27
  7. East Of West #11
  8. Daredevil #1.50
  9. Nightcrawler #1
  10. Batgirl #30

Thanks to these retailers,

And here's what they had to say,

All New X Men 25 most likely would have easily made the top ten but Diamond did not send me a single copy that I ordered. Batman Eternal is off to a great start. Hats off to DC for making it returnable. Captain Marvel 2 is dead on the stands. All New Ultimates 1 also seems invisible on the stands. All New Doop did slightly better but not much. Did we really need 4 "All New" titles on the same day? 5 if I had actually received the All New X Men. The All New tagline has been overused now. Iron Fist failed to make the top ten with its first issue. Is the number 1 well starting to run dry for Marvel? Deadpool 27's higher price tag didn't even cause one of his regular readers to skip it or even complain about it. Walking Dead is still as strong as ever.

Amazingly enough the 3D covers from DC's Villains month last year still sell. Guardians of the Galaxy (the current version of the team) is red hot. Any material with them sells. Captain America had a hit movie this weekend and not a single new reader picked it up or the Winter Soldier limited series. Sad and weird how a trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy picks up sales on its title but the opening weekend of the Captain America movie brings in no new Captain America readers.

Great week for books. Batman Eternal sold with same numbers as regular Batman. Glad i increased order on Walking Dead or i would have sold out and East of West is still that go to book for Image.

Anything movie related is staring to pick up steam. Huge chunks of Captain America, Spider-Man and X-Men are back-issues are getting picked up every day. Nice feeling to have to constantly fill the bins.

Batman still rules the roost. Here, Deadpool sells well to kids, with the books bought by parents. Many went back on the shelf when they were told the issue was $10. Lots of interest in Iron Fist

Batman W̶e̶e̶k̶l̶y Eternal did well as expected with no comic shipping this week to challenge it. Deadpool #27 is a hard sell for speculators to buy multiple copies at $9.99 but we ordered more than we usually do and have only a few copies left. I wish Marvel and DC can stop pricing comics above $3.99 and save the thick $5.99 and higher format for Anniversary issues. Many of our Marvel regulars are turned off by the artwork in some of these All New Marvel Now #1's. All New Ghost Rider, She-Hulk, and Iron Fist Living Legend #1 have all been asked to be dropped from customers pull list. Luther Strode fans have bought the discards of All New Ghost Rider for Tradd Moore's art. The biggest complaints are from the artwork on Iron Fist and She-Hulk
