Batman Gets A New Weapon In All-Star Batman #2 – But Have I Seen It Before? (SPOILERS)

A few years ago, I got a letter from Albanian-Kosovan-living-in-Sweden inventor Armend Rubovci, who told me he has invented a new weapon for Batman. That he wanted to represent his invention to DC Comics in the form of blueprints, which he could then receive royalties on.

I told him things didn't really work like that, but he sent me illustrations from his friend, Mikael Karlsson.

Batman with knives for ears. And possibly for gloves. And that's it.

I thought it was a) insane and b) that's not how it works, and c) I thought it looked really silly. And that was that. I took it no further.

But trust Scott Snyder and John Romita Jr to make it work. Kinda. From today's opening pages of All-Star Batman #2…
