Blind WWE Bags And Backstagers – Visiting The Boom! Booth At San Diego Comic Con
Octavio Karbank reports for Bleeding Cool, what he learned from his visit to the Boom! booth at San Diego Comic-Con before the doors opened.
- Boom has signed a licensing deal with WWE and Boom will be selling "blind bags" at $5 each, and you have the chance to get 1 of 6 covers. The pages feature different wrestlers with a pin-up on one side and a one-page comic on the other side. The wrestlers Stone Cold Steve Austin, the Undertaker (the most rare), Triple H, John Cena, Sasha Banks , and the New Day. Different artists on different covers and the artists will be at the booth tomorrow at 3:30. Expected to be just as, if not more, successful as last year's Power Rangers blind bags.
-All variants are limited to 500 copies and are San Diego Exclusive.
- Debut of Over the Garden: Tome of the Unknown hardcover special edition with cloth cover gold etching. Not a con exclusive, but debuting here first.
Early debut of What Is It. Nicole Hoang wrote the story when she was ten, Dustin Nguyen found it, illustrated, and printed it out as wedding gifts. Goes on sale next week at comic stores on July 27.
James Tynion IV's upcoming limited series The Backstagers, about a group of boys who work in the backstage department of their school's theater, who happen to also find a magical door. It launches in August, but will be featured at the Con. Each issue will have a variant cover that will pay homage to different musicals
