After 10 Years, a Major Character Returns to Iron Fist

Who remembers Immortal Iron Fist from January 2007?

By Ed Brubaker, Matt Fraction, and David Aja, it was a seminal comic of the age — a returning round of the character. It was Matt Fraction's first ongoing series for Marvel Comics, and its success would mean the start of some changes in the way Marvel Comics would tell stories.

The series was nominated for a 2008 Eisner Award for Best New Series, and Ed Brubaker won Best Writer in part for his work on The Immortal Iron Fist.

The first issue also introduced Orson Randall — another Iron Fist from decades past.

He dies in issue 6.

Where did he go?

Today Iron Fist #78, tied in with the Damnation event. Doctor Strange brought a slice of hell back with the returning Las Vegas — and brought Owen Randall back too. He may not be running…

….but he appears to be fighting. Is a rescue attempt in the offing?

Or a contest?
