Corporate Malfeasance in Invaders #8 [Preview]
Invaders #8 hits stores this week from Marvel Comics, by Chip Zdarsky, Carlos Magno, and Butch Guice. And the issue finds the United States on the brink of war with Atlantis after the undersea nation sunk an entire city of Americans and turned them into water-breathers. Which, if we're being honest, might be the most effective solution anyone has come up with for climate change so far.
A recap page catches us up with the action.
And we find the most American of all television, cable news, in progress with an interview with a government official and a Roxxon executive as guests.
But after the show is over, we learn that things aren't quite as they seem. Just like in real life, it's the corporations that control the government in the Marvel Universe.
And it looks like Roxxon has other plans for the looming conflict. Meanwhile, the Human… sorry, Iron Torch is pretty mad at Namor.
And he may decide to put a stop to him once and for all.
For more, you'll have to pick up Invaders #8 when it hits stores on Wednesday.
