Court Places 3-Year Restraining Order on Keya Morgan to Stay Away from Stan Lee

The latest in the legal travails of Stan Lee came to court yesterday. A judge has placed a restraining order on film producer and former Lee associate Keya Morgan to stay away from the 95-year-old co-creator of the Marvel Comics universe for a minimum for three years — and building on previous emergency orders.

Lee's current legal representation, Jonathan Freund, appeared in court to request the exclusion of Morgan from coming 100 yards from Stan Lee, his daughter JC Lee, or his brother Larry Lieber. Morgan is accused of elder abuse and embezzling artwork, cash, and other assets worth more than $5 million, as well as for making false reports to the police.

Freund alleged in court that Lee and his security guards had witnessed Morgan taking artwork and cash from Lee's home. Morgan did not appear in court to contest the order.

Recently Bleeding Cool reported that Stan Lee had ceased public signings and was limited to much-reduced private signings. There continued to be concerns regarding Stan Lee's wellbeing and status, but Keya Morgan, for one, has now been legally isolated from Lee.
