Crowded, a Kickstarter for Assassins, Chris Sebela and Ted Brandt's New Image Series

Chris Sebela took the stage at Image Expo today to talk about his new series Crowded, a book that was supposed to be a cool concept piece but turned out to be relevant.

The premise is is set 10 minutes in the future and there is a crowdsourcing website for killing people. A Kickstarter-like campaign is started to assassinate a target, and if you kill that person you get whatever money has been raised at that point. But the story is about Charlie,  'the Million Dollar Girl', who is a normal young lady who discovers there is a million dollar contract on her head and she has no idea why. She goes out to a website and hires a bodyguard named Vita… the lowest-rated bodyguard on the site with a 1.4 star rating. They journey together to find out who opened the campaign and why.

The book is described as a dark comedy. The art is being done by Ted Brandt with Triona Farrell coloring. It will be an ongoing series starting this summer.
