Danny Boyd To Create New Graphic Novel, Carbon, For 2013

Probably best known as the director of eighties horror movie, Chillers, Danny Boyd has moved into graphic novels in a big way of late.

As well as the already announced Chillers anthology graphic novel for next year, he also has a new story to tell the year after that.

Carbon is about a newly discovered fossilised fuel source, that unleashes a terror from a world, a god, before our own. And only a team of coal miners can save the world from a new armageddon.

Currently a communications and media studies professor at West Virginia State University, treaching graphic novel classes, tells the Saturday Gazette-Mail about his current projects. How his students are helping him on Carbon, as well as South American artists  Edi Guedes and Alzir Alves he hired through Digital Webbing. And now he's looking for funding.

Here's the teaser and Darren Boyd's Idiegogo pitch.
