DC Comics Makes Batman's Grave, Far Sector, Dollhouse Family and Metal Men Returnable

DC Comics may be experimenting with the idea of overshipping again, with The Last God #1, but the are much more comfortable with the idea of making certain comic books returnable.

Retailers have just been told some new retunable titles, and what hoops retailers will have to jump through in order to send back hypothetical unsold copies.

For The Batman's Grave #2, retailers who order 75% of their numbers for The Batman Who Laughs #1 will be able to return 50% at a later date.

For The Dollhouse Family #1, retailers who order 100% of their numbers for The Dreaming #5 will be able to return every copy at a later date.

For Far Sector #1, retailers who order 100% of their numbers for The Flash #71 will be able to return every copy at a later date.

For Metal Men #2, retailers who order 75% of their numbers for  The Flash #71  will be able to return 50% at a later date.

Which might encourage retailers to up their numbers across the board – especially for unqualified returns like Far Sector and Dollhouse Family.

Dollhouse Family will also be getting a 12" x 36" poster arriving in stores, online advertising on YouTube and Facebook, a print ad in Rue Morgue magazine, house ads  running in September and October DC comics, an email blast sent out to DreadCentral.com subscribers and placed articles with DC's media parters, CBR, Newsarama, Comics Beat and others.
