Dennis Hopeless and Emilio Laiso Are New X-O Manowar Creative Team, Launching in November
Valiant Entertainment has announced their upcoming creative team on the new X-O Manowar series starting in November. Dennis Hopeless Hallum of WWE, All-New X-Men, Cable and X-Force and Avengers Arena and Emilio Laiso of Doctor Aphra and Grimm Fairy Tales.
Hopeless says "The Valiant universe is full of intensely human characters with wild origins and interesting flaws." With X-O MANOWAR Hallum is excited to explore new territory, "We always give the cool robot suits to billionaires and scientists. I love how Aric flips that on its head. He didn't build the suit. He can't explain the suit. And he could kick your butt up and down the road without the suit. The anachronism is fascinating and I can't wait to play around with it."
X-O Manowar was co-created by writers Jim Shooter, Steve Englehart, Bob Layton and Barry Windsor-Smith as a cross between a caveman and Iron Man, in 1992, from the newly formed Valiant Entertainment. The original series ran for 68 issues before being cancelled in 1996.
When Valiant was bought and relaunched, it began in 2012 with a new X-O Manowar series by Robert Venditti and Cary Nord. Recently Matt Kindt relaunched the series, the final issue of which is published today. But as we can see the plans are already to return.
Not long till November…
