Dynamite To Publish Sherlock Holmes Comic Starring Moriarty – After The Reichenbach Falls
That's Francesco Francavilla's cover to Dynamite's new comic, starting in December, Sherlock Holmes: Moriarty Lives, a five-issue series starring the Napoleon Of Crime, after his supposed death, announced at Baltimore Comic Con. Written by David Liss and drawn by Daniel Indro, Liss is quoted as saying;
"Moriarty is, of course, one of the best-known villains in literature, but I've always been interested in the idea of telling a story from his perspective. No one is the villain of their own narrative, and no one is evil all the time, so I thought it be fun to tell a story about a very bad man who finds himself in a situation in which he chooses to be good — mostly. At least a little. This story is going to take place right after the Arthur Conan Doyle story, "The Final Problem," in which both presumably die in Switzerland. What if Moriarty survived the fall? Where did he go? This is going to be a gritty comic, but also a fun adventure in which Moriarty's devious mind is set against an even more evil and dangerous enemy."
