The comics world is still reeling from the news that DC Comics will stop producing new content for Mad Magazine and will instead release issues full of reprinted material, but some comic book creators are taking action. Eric Powell took to Twitter on Thursday to tease launching a satire magazine of his own at Albatross Funny Books.
"I think we need satire more than ever right now," Powell tweeted. "With Mad closing shop, wondering if I shouldn't launch something new at @AlbatrossEFB."
I think we need satire more than ever right now. With Mad closing shop, wondering if I shouldn't launch something new at @AlbatrossEFB . So comic pros (meaning working professionals) how many of you would be interested in contributing to a give no fucks satire comic?

Powell then solicited interest from fellow comic book professionals, writing, "So comic pros (meaning working professionals) how many of you would be interested in contributing to a give no f***s satire comic?" Powell's tweet got quite a few responses:

So is this thing a go, or what? Oh, and we were enjoying a holiday when the news of Mad's closure first broke, but we've got some news of our for DC: it has been zero days since DC did something stupid. RESET THE COUNTER!
