Firebronies Help Get Alan Tudyk Nominated For Best Writer In The Ringo Awards

As part of next month's Baltimore Comic-Con, the inaugural Mike Wieringo Comic Book Industry Awards will be presented on September 23rd. The initial nominations were open to the public but the voting on the Final Ballot is restricted to those in the comic book industry creative community, namely anyone involved in and credited with creating comics professionally. Comic pros can head over to www.ringoawards.com to submit their final vote. In addition, the Fan-Only Favorites from the nomination ballot and Hero Initiative Awards will be presented at the ceremony.

Here is the Final Ballot. Note there's slightly less Valiant than the Harvey Awards used to have. But if you were missing that kind of behaviour, it looks like the firebronies, or browncoats if you prefer, have helped the actor and creator of Con Man, Alan Tudyk be nominated for Best Writer. He is credited on a couple of copies of Spectrum published in 2016, the spinoff comic from Con Man, and he is nominated alongside co-writer PJ Haasma and artist Sarah Stone as Best Colourist, while the comics is listed for Best Series…

Two nominees for each category are selected by an open, online nomination process. The remaining three nominees are selected by a jury of comics industry professionals.
