Five Thousand Strong Crowd Rallies To Save City Of Heroes. Kind Of.

This week, the superhero avatars of five thousand players of City Of Heroes, the first superhero MMORG and now under threat of closure by owner NCsoft, gathered online for their first Unity Rally. It was a peaceful rally, there was no sign of rioting, though many people present were wearing masks.

The rally concluded with a special cosplay event, where suprheroes dressed up as their favourite member of the game's programming team.

But there's nothing like doing something in real life to make a difference. Players are being encouraged to send capes and masks to NCsoft's headquarters in both the USA and Korea. as well as social media artefacts to help spread the word, and a 16,000 strong petition.

Who will save… the superheroes?
