Well ACON Investments, the company that also owns mall-based teen retailer Spencer's has bought the company, lock, stock and to smoking Gold Plated Stan Lees.

Brian Mariotti will remain CEO and other members of the existing senior management team will continue to be just that. Previous investors Fundamental Capital will retain a Board seat and a minority ownership stake.

Could we see a lot of Spencer's exclusives? Should Hot Topic be worried about theirs? Though Reddit's r/funkopop group has other concerns…
