Gossip: Why Is Green Arrow On Amanda Waller's Side? (Spoilers)

In Free Comic Book Day Absolute Power, we discovered that Oliver Queen, the Green Arrow, was seemingly willingly working with Amanda Waller.

In the Free Comic Book Day Absolute Power volume from Mark Waid and Mikel Janin, we discovered that Oliver Queen, the Green Arrow, was seemingly willingly working with Amanda Waller in the renamed House Of Justice, the House Of Order. But what had pushed him in that direction? Did he have a bomb in his head?

What is he building? We still don't know. But the decision was made in this week's Green Arrow #13. After Peacemaker showed him something.

And then met with his long-time sidekick Roy Harper, Speedy, Arsenal, Red Arrow, whatever you will.

Oliver Queen, the Green Arrow, believed in Amanda Waller. To be fair, he has long held rather negative views about his fellow superheroes and the use of superpowers, but has also been a longtime member of the Justice League.

Although he seems to have the strength to throw Peacemaker by the broken finger.

And so this is not mind control… what is it? Bleeding Cool understands that Green Arrow has indeed turned true believer. He's always warned about superheroes having undeserved prominence over the general population, while ignoring the real problems endemic on society.  And whatever Amanda Waller showed him has convinced him to switch sides. And his access to the superheroic knowledge has enabled to lock Earth out from alien intervention, multiverse intervention, time travel intervention.  And everyone's powers have been taken away. After all…

…it's what he's really always wanted.
