Harbinger Renegade #1 Sells Out 46,000 Print Run, Gets Second Print At Same Time As First
Looks like November is shaping up to be quite the month for Valiant Entertainment…
First, last week's Faith #5 election issue – guest-starring none other than Hillary Clinton – racked up national press and some heated retailer controversy before rushing into an advance second printing…
And now the publisher has announced that the upcoming Harbinger Renegade #1 by Rafer Roberts and Darick Robertson, which doesn't hit stands until next Wednesday, November 16th, is posting an advance sellout at Diamond of the issue's 46,000 copy print run – one of the year's biggest from an independent publisher and a sizable number that has even managed to eclipse Faith #1's much publicized ongoing debut earlier this summer as the biggest independent superhero series debut of the year.
As such, Valiant has also returned to press for an advance second printing of Harbinger Renegade, which will arrive on shelves alongside the first next Wednesday.
Which one will you pick up?
Over the two weeks, Valiant has announced a number of sizable shake-ups for the Harbinger Renegade title, including a secret title change, the introduction of new villain Alexander Solomon, and the series' connection to an impending Harbinger Wars 2 event in 2018 – tentatively slated to appear alongside or in advance of Sony's Harbinger big-screen feature film the same year.
Plus, the publisher also announced plans for mail-away coupons in each of Harbinger Renegades' first four issues, which could then be redeemed for a Harbinger Wars #0 exclusive comic. The first coupon will also be made available next week's Harbinger Renegade #0 for fans who are unable to locate a copy of the first.
