He Did It… Brian Bendis Actually Did It…. (Superman #6 Final Page Spoilers)

It has been rumoured. It has been teased. And on the cover of today's Superman #6 you knew it was coming…

But could it be a hoax? A trick? An imaginary story? Well, in today's issue, as Superman deals with a series of double splash pages with Rogol Zaar, General Zod and Superman going at each other in the Phantom Zone, with Superman's meta-commentary, it ends with Superman wanting to pursue his father. And whatever happened to his son, Jonathan Kent, Superboy.

And then gets just what he wants.

If not necessarily how he was expecting it.

Has Jonathan Kent spent a lot longer with his suddenly-revived grandfather Jor-El than experienced on Earth? Is this Superboy Prime returned in disguise? Or is it more messing with Superman by Dr Manhattan? Future solicits say it was a year – could it have been longer? He has been doing a lot of growing up of late…
