Insanely, Nightwing #70 Hits $50 on eBay – Are We Going to Do This Again?

Yesterday. Bleeding Cool broke the news that Batman #89 and Hell Arisen #3 were getting third printings – we have the artwork below now. But we also pointed out that Nightwing #90 was also getting a second printing ahead of going on sale this coming Wednesday, and that this was rare for DC Comics –  and that Batman#89 and Hell Arisen #3 were rare recent examples. Those two comics were fuelled by the first appearances of new character Punchline, but Nightwing #70 is not – it is just the start of the Joker War event. However, completely erroneously, the solicitation does use the word 'punchline'. That, combined with the reported sellout, has made a comic that was selling quite happily in advance for cover price or less on eBay, to rocket in value. And will give retailers an instant sellout and then a headache dealing with lots of new people they have never seen before and will never see again, suddenly wanting to buy ten copies for cover price.

And now copies have sold in advance on eBay for up to $50, though most are in the $30$40 mark. Let's see if this continues when people realise that, no, Punchline is not in this comic.

Here are details on the new printings.
