LAPD Reportedly Visit Stan Lee's House in Investigation Allegedly Involving Max Anderson
Stan Lee's home was reportedly visited by the Los Angeles Police Department Thursday, according to a report by Ryan Parry at the Daily Mail, the same reporter who broke news of sexual abuse allegations against Lee by former nurses. According to the report, the LAPD visited Lee's home, confirmed by photos showing police at Lee's residence along with a lawyer and Lee's manager, Max Anderson. The Daily Mail also says a representative of the LAPD told them, "There's a battery investigation at the 9100 block of Oriole Way, it's still ongoing. We have three units there."
The Daily Mail goes on to say that they "understand" that Adult Protective Services, an organization that typically deals with elder abuse cases, was on the scene as well, and that the investigation involves Anderson. The Mail then goes on to detail Anderson's past criminal record, which includes multiple instances of domestic violence, and also Lee's recent troubles, including the various sexual abuse allegations, which Lee's lawyer has denied, the theft of $300,000 from Lee via check fraud, and Lee's money being used to purchase an $850,000 condo without his knowledge.
Bleeding Cool reached out to the LAPD Hollywood Division, but they were unable to confirm any of these details. However, TMZ has just now released a report corroborating the police visit, but they name a different cause: trespassing. The trespasser, according to TMZ's report, is Anderson, who they refer to as a "former bodyguard," and who allegedly refused to leave when Lee and his daughter asked him to. TMZ also say Adult Protective Services were on the scene, and report that Anderson left the premises after being asked to by police.
According to TMZ, Lee has hired a security service to protect his home in the future.
