Mark Millar, Netflix and Image Comics Will a Have a Surprise Comic Out For Christmas

Well, that's an interesting one. Mark Millar and his employer Netflix are publishing a comic book through Image Comics just in time for Christmas, without telling anyone what it is.

In a fashion slightly reminiscent of Robert Kirkman with DIEDIEDIE and Boom Studios with Angel, at least retailers know this one is coming. They just won't know what it is.

Dubbed 'Project X-Mas', the comic will be written by Mark Millar and will be a sequel to a previous Millarworld property, but they aren't saying which one, only that it is 'one of the most beloved Millarworld projects since the dawn of time'. So not Unfunnies then. Or Nemesis.

Frank Quitely is currently listed as drawing two of the covers which might suggest Jupiter's Legacy, currently in production at a TV series. Wanted, Kingsman, Hit-Girl and Kick-Ass are off the board die to legal issues. But beloved? That suggests it might more likely be Superior, Huck or Starlight.

Here's the solicitation, for the comic hitting stores on December 18th. Whatever it is…
