Marvel Socks For Women – A Step in The Right Direction?

We have been covering stories for a while now about how Marvel has been slighting women/girls with their merchandising. Gamora and Black Widow were being left off of t-shirts, Blu-ray covers and even left out of toys sets they were specifically in during the films they were based on. So when we see something like this, its only fair to post it. Writer Marc Lombardi discovered these Marvel themed women's socks while at Walmart today and tweeted a picture.

Now these aren't the same socks as the ones being offered over at Think Geek.

So it seems that Marvel has taken a step in the right direction… covering women's feet with female characters. They can only go up from here.
