Monomyth – What If Adam And Eve Never Ate The Apple
On October 22nd the third and final issue of Monomyth comes out from OSSM Comics. The story is written by Siike Donnelly with art by Eric Ninaltowski and it is basically a rebooting origin story for the bible.
Here Michael and Lucifer fight and both fall from heaven. It's Michael's plan to lead the angels in revolt against God and it's Lucifer that stops him. She, Lucifer is a woman here, also stops Adam and Eve from eating the apple so they are never kicked out of Eden. Humans build a society inside of the garden and train their kids to strengthen their minds, bodies and souls. But as a war between Heaven and Michael's fallen angels grows nearer… God has chosen a human to lead the rest… exactly as Michael expected.
You can look at this as a What If story or a alternate universe take on the Bible. The concept is interesting, the dialogue is a bit clunky at points but works to tell the story and the art is good but you can see Ninaltowski will get better as his career progresses.
If you are looking for something different and like stories with a religion as myth feel, you should check this out.
