Preview The First Five Pages Of C.O.W.L. #7 – Teaming Up To Solve A Hero's Murder
Kyle Higgins, Alec Siegel, and Rod Reis completed the first arc of their Image series C.O.W.L. with Issue #5 and after a one-shot for #6, starts new arc with #7. Issues #1-5, now collected in trade, are described thus:
The Chicago Organized Workers League once stood as a beacon of hope against an epidemic of organized crime and an unbeatable "brotherhood" of Super-Villains. Now, in 1962, the union faces a disillusioned public, scandal, and a new era of threats.
Issue #7, out December 24th, is set to deal with "the shocking murder of a C.O.W.L. hero", after which "members of the organization must put aside their differences in order to find the killer…before Detective Evelyn Frost and the Chicago Police do". Higgins, Siegel and Reis have created a moody world full of underlying danger and populated with nuanced characters set in contrast to Reis' often quite beautiful artwork and mellow color schemes.
