And Now The Turtles Come to IDW (UPDATE)

And Now The Turtles Come to IDW (UPDATE)Well, with a new Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV series on the way and no one actually publishing a comic book of the characters at the moment, something was going to give.

Kicking off this summer, IDW will be publishing a new Turtles series. Creative team current unnanounced. But it will probably look something like this. (right)

Any suggestions?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Tony Lees?

Any chance of Anne Rice's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles?

UPDATE: Owen Thaxton at the IDW panel in Wondercon ads that it will both adapt the new series and have new material, and are still in talks with Nickelodeon over the creative team.

Also coming from IDW is J. Scott Campbell Fairytale Fantasies calendar and a Bloom County calendar in August with full Sunday pages in August, in what sounds a little like Scott Dunbier's attempt to keep his schedule clarified for next year, a collection of Darwin Cooke Hunter graphic novel adaptations as The Martini Edition in July with a new Parker short story from Cooke, and a second Rocketeer anthology book coming out sometime next year. Which got IDW's Greg Goldstein to say;

"If we're not sold out of the Rocketeer book, then you can come to me at San Diego and say "You're wrong" and I'll give you a free gift."
