A Comic Show – Mastermen & Bitch Planet
Aaron Haaland of A Comic Shop in Orlando, Florida, writes:
Hey Fandom! It's another week of New Comics Now, back from the DC Roadshow and ready to roll out!
Multiversity Mastermen has art by Jim Lee and opens to Hitler himself taking a hard dump. I'm an old school Freedom Fighters fan, so I loved this. Batgirl #39 has a crazy jaw dropping ending. And Justice League has Captain Cold is the new hotness.
Silk #1 spinning out of Spider-verse was a solid start, and is Marvel's Batgirl (but Batgirl is DC's attempt at Ms. Marvel, so there's that). Soule gave a great end to his She-Hulk run, and Star Lord's third part of Black Vortex had more cosmic power ups.
Over at Image Jay Faeber's new Secret Identities is some unashamed and unironic super heroics in the vein of Invincible. Autumnlands Tooth & Claw #4 fleshed out our human savior more, and Bitch Planet #3 have Penny's origin. Don't judge her.
