Josh Boone To Direct The Fault In Our Stars – Like We Already Told You Last Week

Hate to say I told you so, but here it is.
THR now confirms our earlier reporting that newbie director Josh Boone has been hired to direct the adaptation of John Green's hit young adult novel The Fault In Our Stars.
The trade still plays coy about the involvement of Shailene Woodley, who they claim is in the running but has not been officially offered the lead role of Hazel, but I'm pretty confident that official confirmation will prove to be just a technicality, like Boone's was.
The book-turned-film follows Hazel Grace Lancaster, a 16 year old cancer survivor who begins attending a cancer support group and meets Augustus Waters, who is also in remission at the tender age of 18. The two fall in love and go on a quest to track down the elusive author of her favorite book.
Filming is set to begin this summer. (500) Days of Summer and The Spectacular Now screenwriters Scott Neustadter and Michael Weber wrote the script. Stay tuned to see if we're also right about Johnathan Schaech and Isabelle Fuhrman being involved.
