Kill Shakespeare Grabs $10,000 In Movie Pitch Fest

On Tuesday, the 2010 Telefilm Pitch This! competition, the eleventh to date, was won by a very familiar sounding movie pitch. With Hamlet, Juliet, Othello and Richard III teaming up and fighting each other in an attempt to challenge their very creator.

Is this a Swipe File for Kill Shakespeare? No, this actually is Kill Shakespeare. Creators Anthony Del Col and Conor McCreery used the visuals of the IDW comic in the competition and won the $10,000 cash prize from the Toronto International Film Festival.

Previous winners have actually been made into films, such as Poor Boy's Game and Amal actually being made into feature films.

I can hear Kimberly Cox spitting from here.
