The Blacklist Comic From Titan Gets Release Date And Cover
As Bleeding Cool reported from Comics PRO in February, Titan Comics have jumped on board with a comics project based on the TV series The Blacklist, and we assumed it was arriving sometime this summer, but we now have a date and a creative team. The comic will arrive July 22nd, and it will be written by Nichole Phillips, drawn by Beni Lobel (Constantine, Batman: Arkham Unhinged) and developed in conjunction with The Blacklist TV series from Sony Pictures Television, according to Titan.
Apparently, the first arc (Issues 1-5) will feature stories which expand upon the events of the TV series and feature all the major characters from the show, including Raymond 'Red' Reddington, who's played by James Spader, and characters Lizzie (Megan Boone), Donald Ressler (Diego Klattenhoff), Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) and others.
The first issue will arrive with 2 covers: an original painted cover of Raymond 'Red' Reddington from the super-talented , Alice X Zhang (Doctor Who) and a photo cover with an iconic image of Red. The Blacklist comic will also be available to read on personal digital devices, according to Titan.
So get set for more international intrigue and espionage this July.
