The Women Of DC Comics. In Two Pages.
From The DC Entertainment Essential Graphic Novels And Chronology 2013, heading to comic stores, bookstores, libraries and the media, giving us what DC think stores should keep in stock, what readers should read, and in what order, and basically putting a public face on the DC backlist… so what's in it? And what face are DC trying to present?
Anyone catch that last entry?
Because, yes, it is a little weird. Green Arrow gets two pages…
Well, you know, there is the Arrow TV series. Flash gets a double page.
Because, you know, he's the Flash. But all the women of the DC Universe, Batgirl, Batwoman, Wonder Woman, Catwoman and Huntress get… a double page between them.
Now, sure, some other books are also seen in the New 52 section, and in the Vertigo election as well… but doesn't it feel a little odd? Also worth considering that The Black People Of The DC Universe wouldn't have made a page worth…
Maybe we'll see a change for The DC Entertainment Essential Graphic Novels And Chronology 2014.
