Things to Do In New York This Week If You Like Comics(UPDATE)
Wednesday, June 25th
Carmine Street Comics at 34 Carmine Street in New York will host the Release Party for The Remnants #4 at 5PM. They say: "Gonna be hanging out with the great guys over at Carmine Street Comics spectacular new, full-color release. Come by for signings, and cool giveaways!"
Wednesday, June 25th
Bergen Street Comics at 470 Bergen Street in Brooklyn will be hosting a Book Release Shindig for Vile Decay at 7PM. They say: "Coming up at the end of June, we'll be proudly carrying copies of Vile Decay, the third issue of Malachi Ward's Ritual series. Malachi and Bergen Street's own Tucker had a chance to meet in sunny Los Angeles recently, and after an intense discussion, they agreed that Malachi would supply some limited edition prints (for only the finest of our Bergen Street regulars) to welcome what is certainly one of the most anticipated indie comics of the season. Starting at 7PM on June 25th, we'll be giving away prints with every copy of Vile Decay. Unfortunately, Malachi will not be able to attend this event, but he's been gracious enough to sign our copies of Vile Decay in advance! Dave Nuss–the publisher and kind of all things Revival House–will be on hand as well, and he's bringing an all new printing of Everything Unseen #1, the first issue of Drew Breckmeyer's philosophical opus. Two awesome comics, one amazing print–there is no better way to spend a Wednesday evening, and that is a cold, hard fact".
Thursday, June 26th
Midtown Comics Downtown at 64 Fulton Street in New York will be hosting a signing by Paul Azaceta for Outcast #1 at 6PM. They say: "Meet artist Paul Azaceta at Midtown Comics Downtown on Thursday, June 26th for a signing of Outcast #1, the highly anticipated new series from Robert Kirkman! In this new horror series from Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead, Kyle Barnes has been plagued by demonic possession all his life and now he needs answers. Unfortunately, what he uncovers along the way could bring about the end of life on Earth as we know it. The series will debut at 40 pages for just $2.99–a strategy previously employed by Saga. "I'm trying to make the book as creepy and cool and dark as possible, and really do some horror stuff with it," Azaceta said". Purchase of Outcast #1 is required for the event.

Thursday, June 26th
Switch to Kill, written by Dean Haspiel and directed by Ian W. Hill will be performed as part of the Comic Book Theater Festival at the Brick Theater in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, at 9PM. They say:
"In a world where no one knows anyone's true identity, professional hit men Dallas Twilite and Buck Dangerzone engage in a psychological duel that triggers cold–blooded acts of murder. Haunted by his younger brother's death years ago, Dallas, in a twist of events, realizes that he has never witnessed his partner, Buck, kill a man, while that partner insists that he's been responsible for every kill and won't admit how. Their disagreement breaks a trust that has bonded them since day one.
All hell breaks loose when Frank the Shank sparks a distribution war, geriatric assassins Jimmy the Face and Massacre Mel deliver the wrong head to gang lord rival Bohannon, and gun salesman Stan the Man sells the right bullets to the wrong men. Through a series of harried gun play and emotional tests, a trust is reinstated and ghosts are lifted from the psyche of grief-stricken killers.Featuring Matthew Addison, Sam Anderson, Stephanie Cox-Williams, Bryan Enk, Lex Friedman, Stephen Heskett, Ian W. Hill, and Paul J. Kim".
