Only yesterday the press was sure that Aladdin had been cast in the new Guy Ritchie live-action version of the classic story with Bollywood actor Siddharth Gupta. However at #D23 today we got the details down pat. Aladdin played by Mena Massoud. Jasmine is Naomi Scott. And, yes, Will Smith as The Genie Of The Lamp.

Suddenly it's a whole new ball game.

Massoud is best known as Tarek Kassar in this year's Jack Ryan TV show.

Naomi Scott has had a series of small roles but played the Pink Ranger in the recent Power Rangers movie.
