All Retailers To Get One Todd McFarlane Sketch Cover Variant For Venom #1 – And More To Come

We've noted that the launch of Venom #1 seems like it may be an advanced hit for Marvel Comics. Anticipation is high. And a few retailers did indeed take advantage of the 1:1000 variant cover, reprinting early Todd McFarlane Venom art, recoloured and remastered. Going for a pretty price on eBay – up to $1600.

Well, Marvel have now extended that with a sketch version of that cover going out, one per store, to almost all comics retailers, no matter what their order.

Which should also see the comic get added attention. Marvel have been on their game of late when it comes to retailer promotion, expect to see a turnaround in that October marketshare when it gets announced.
