The Return of Dr Boris Korpse and Bruno Grainger in Black Cat #1 (Spoilers)

Marvel are publishing a new Black Cat series tomorrow, spinning out of the recent Hunted storyline in Amazing Spider-Man and the recent stories regarding the Thieves Guil of the Marvel Universe. With Felicia Hardy trying to find her new place within it all and establishing herself as a serious player. With everyone trusting her to be… well. Felicia Hardy. And they are not wrong in that.

The new series by Jed McKay and Travel Foreman sees the Black Cat engaging in a heist upon the Thieves Guild. But she's not doing it alone. These are her claws, acting on her behalf, are  Dr Boris Korpse and Bruno Grainger.

Meet Felicia Hardy's New Crew in Black Cat #1 (Spoilers)

These characters were, as well as The Black Cat, co-created by Marv Wolfman back in those late seventies Amazing Spider-Man comic books. They appeared in Amazing Spider-Man #194, #195 and #196 – and then never again. Two goons for hire, the Black Cat hired them to spring her father from jail, which they succeeded in doing, wven with Spider-Man's intervention – and so were then hired by the Kingpin to capture Spider-Man, which they also succeeded in doing, courtesy of Spider-Man being destracted by the apparant death of Aunt May (again), a brace of special rifle grenades and Bruno attacking Spier-Man's injured shoulder. After delivering Spider-Man to the Kingpin, they left, never to be seen again until today. Well, tomorrow. Here's how they looked back then…
