One part of me has been around old vinyl crates and cd stores, the other part was ignoring my mom whilst she yelled: "STOP WATCHING CARTOONS!" Animation became an obsession until I turned it into a career, and it all started when I decided to combine music with old school cartoons …
That's how FANTOONS was born… an independent online comic strip and animated series about us…the music fans. Our obsessive conversations, crazy road trips, or fights over the tiniest little details that no one else cares about. I don't know if it was because I accepted I had an addiction, or because I met dozens of people that share the same passion, but finally I realized that there were many people that shared these secret obsessions. There's so many of us, that I finally don't feel crazy for buying Rush's 2112 five different times: vinyl, old CD, remastered CD, deluxe edition with comic, and vinyl with hologram.
Which takes me to our Kickstarter project. We've released two Fantoons books with comic strips and parodies about the greatest classic rock bands, but, for this book, we're exclusively going to cover the mighty RUSH! We've created comic strips, art, and parodies with their rich history, covers, and of course ourselves…the obsessive fans. You know… the guys that crashed their site when their latest tour was announced; if you clicked & refreshed the page more than 4 times you are one of us.

We reached more than 9 times our original goal, we got coverage in Classic Rock and PROG magazines, the amazing Mike Portnoy shared our project on his social media accounts, it's been unbelievable! Thanks to the wonderful Rush fans who have been with us for a few years, mostly through rushisaband.com and our Facebook page.
