Speculator Corner: As God Country #1 Hits $50, What About Redneck?

There have been a spate of Image Comics titles recently that the comic book speculator aftermarket has been responding to. It happens every now and then, and collectors are certainly going through a boom time.

God Country #1 by Donny Cates and Geoff Shaw is one. An unslabbed copy of the first issue of God Country has recently sold on eBay for $50 or $175 in 9.8 CGC slabbed.

But Donny has another comic coming up, ongoing this time, and launching from Image Comics. Redneck with artist Lisandro Estherren . And at ECCC last weekend, copies of a black-and-white ashcan were handed out by Skybound to retailers – and soon hit eBay. $20 was the top price but copies have gone for less – mostly, I believe, because people don't know it exists.

They do now. And Redneck #1 is weeks away from FOC…
