Stan Sakai And Mike Richardson's 47 Ronin

One is famed for writing and drawing tales of a rabbit samurai, Usagi Yojimbo.

The other is famed for printing those comics.

Now Stan Sakai and Mike Richardson are creating a new book for November, 47 Ronin for Dark Horse Comics.

The tale of a daimyo (feudal lord) who was forced to commit seppuku (ritual suicide) and his samurai-turned-ronin who avenged his wrongful death.

The artwork (below) will echo the blockprinting effect of traditional Japanese prints…
