Star Trek: Lore War To Launch In March 2025

Tomorrow sees the publication of Star Trek #500 from IDW, launching the event Lore War, with the first issue out in March 2025.

Tomorrow sees the launch of Star Trek #500, the five hundredth Star Trek comic from IDW if you add them all up, and launching the next big Star Trek event… of which you may have had an inkling if you read Bleeding Cool yesterday. It's called Lore War, it focuses on the character of Lore, and it will launch in March 2025.

Lore, a Machiavellian version of Data constructed by Doctor Noonien Soong first, has been a central figure in recent Star Wars comics. A member of the cast of Star Trek: Defiant, his machinations continue in the main Star Trek series and recent Annual from IDW Publishing. Most recently in August's Star Trek #23, he appeared aiming to blackmail his way into becoming the Emissary of Bajor to their Gods, seeming to blow up Bajor as part of his scheme… and what comes next?

The Final Masterpiece in Star Trek #500 by Collin Kelly, Christopher Cantwell and Davide Tinto sees Data and Lore together, Data under Lore's control, in the manner of a God, writing or rewriting all of reality. Data's painting repurposed as some kind of Genesis device. If the details are unclear that is only to be intended.

As the story sets up the future events to come. The much teased, much promised big Star Trek event from IDW Publishing kicking off in March 2025 as promised.

Star Trek: Lore War. With space battles, Lore as some kind of worshipped god, and Benjam in Sisko with a Klingon Bat'Leth at his neck… Star Trek #500 is published by IDW tomorrow.
