The First Comics Appearance Of Rey, Finn And Kylo Ren, Today…

Today, Marvel Comics publishes the first of a four part adaptation of Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

And it's a bit of a mess. Oh it looks pretty enough, but the storytelling is leaden, relying on expositional captions to say what the film was able to show. Novelist Chuck Wendig has written a few comics before – Hyperion for Marvel and The Shield for Archie, but you wouldn't be able to tell.

Still, at least we can work out who everyone is.
