Today, Batman Does His Very Best Peacocking (Batman #98 Spoilers)

Batman #98 is published today. A Joker-lite issue, as Batman struggles with his inner demons, and gets a telling off from a ghostly Alfred Pennyworth. While  Harley Quinn continues to knock the puns out of Punchline. As she tried to find her way through to Poison Ivy from her old Eden grove…

At least DC Comics acknowledges with this issue that Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn were once an item, rather than ignoring that all together…

A few blows later, it's time for Bruce Wayne to do what is in his nature when he finds two women fighting over his body. It's time to strut.

Now that is an impressive display. It reminded me of something though…

All that needs is someone to just write PEACOCK along the back in massive letters. Now Batman's display is clearly meant to be seen as a symbolic one. But maybe he should get someone to write it along the back of the cape, like Mister Terrific has Fair Play on his costume. After all with Batwing, Batwoman, Batgirl, Signal and all the others sporting batsymbols – and whatever it is Damian Wayne will restyle himself as – maybe it's time to be a bit more specific over just which Bat you are?
