A Splatoon 2 Tourney Website Hopes to Continue the Community

If you're an esports player who loves Nintendo, you're already aware that the company does little to nothing to support that side of the culture. Primarily because it's not in their company's philosophy behind their games. So when the writing was on the wall for Splatoon 2 late last year, a number of people wondered how the communities would survive beyond online play. One European Splatoon 2 tournament site is looking to fix that just a little by throwing the first European Tournament on January 13th.

But the website is going above and beyond by also offering tips and strats on the site to help players get good at the game so there's a healthy community full of competition instead of just an elite few who dominate the field. Because the goal isn't to glorify a few, it's to grow the many so the game sustains and thrives after Nintendo is finished with updates beyond Splatfests. Check out the info above if you're in Europe and interested in competing with a team. Here's hoping the same thing happens in both Japan and North America as well.
